Eastcote Wealth Management has decided to support SIFA Fireside as our designated charity for 2020. The Digbeth-based organisation one of the region’s leading charities helping homeless people in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. They provide a wide range of facilities including daily meals and showers, as well as providing support on housing, health, benefits and employment. Eastcote Wealth director, Rob Kenyon, and office manager, Christine Sherlock, visited SIFA Fireside’s centre in Digbeth to see for themselves and both were very impressed with how it was run.
As ever, we will be running a number of events over the year to raise money, including the quiz night on 27th March at Camp Hill Rugby Club. This year there will be another hike to the top of Snowdon, Wales’s highest peak, for the more adventurous members of EWM’s staff. Hopefully the weather will be an improvement on last time when the climbers had to contend with the wettest July day for 50 years, which is saying something in Wales, 60 MPH winds and 50 yards visibility!
At the end of 2019 EWM presented a cheque for £2,807.97 to our chosen charity for last year, Safeline. That brings the grand total of money raised over the last 4 years to £13,193.58. We expect to more than match last year’s total for SIFA Fireside.
